Haunted by Murder (The Mag & Clara Balefire Mysteries - Book #4)

Mag's old friend turned up a week after her own funeral, and she brought company.
The best medium in New England came through the wall of Balms and Bygones trailing every spirit she collected on the way over — an incontinent Labrador, a man who died before he found out who shot JR, a peeper who never once had a girlfriend. Roma will not follow the light until somebody finds out what happened to her client's missing fiancé. Then she discovers she can't get back out the door either, and the Balefire sisters have a permanent houseguest with opinions.
Everyone in Harmony says Bradley Graham skipped town in the night to get out of marrying Stephanie Huffington. He left a note, so Chief Cobb will not call it a crime. But Bradley walked out before dawn in a state, without the briefcase he never went anywhere without, and his wallet turns up on a roadside with the cash still in it. And Stephanie has stopped sleeping. She keeps having a dream that feels far too much like a memory, in which she kills the man she loves — and she wants to turn herself in.
Between a thousand-year-old high priestess predicting snow before November, a coven officer angling for Huffington money, two familiars who keep turning into people to complain about the ghost dog, and Clara falling hard for the man who raised the bride-to-be, the sisters are working this one at a full boil. Mag has her own problem. Roma keeps dragging up the part of her long past she has never been willing to talk about.
No body, no crime, and a bride-to-be begging to be arrested.
A warm, funny, ghost-filled cozy witch mystery set on the coast of Maine in late autumn — Book 4 in the Mag and Clara Balefire Mysteries.

"A dead psychic bossing around a centuries-old witch, and a missing man the police will not even look for. I finished this a lot later at night than I meant to."
"Equal parts hilarious and heartfelt. The ghost dog alone was worth the price, and then the ending went and got me."
