The Continental Divide Murders - Episode III

In this last installment of The Continental Divide Murders, “all hands on deck” is the new world order. In the Park City hills and beyond, is anyone who they seem to be? David the carefree Park City driver is anything but, the mild-mannered motorcycle men are more than just amiable bikers, and who’s side is Section Chief Olsen really on? No one knows. One minute he’s solicitous and compassionate, the next an FBI chief gone rogue.

The Crew go underground and out on the road to find the missing pieces and the missing persons where the trail gets even colder and darker. Laird and 'Goose are ordered to follow the biathlon team to Colorado Springs where the athletes hope to practice safely anywhere outside of Park City. The cast of characters shifts back and forth and the lines between the law and the lawless fade completely. Who’s in it for the fame, who’s in it for the law, and who’s in it for the money beyond their wildest dreams?

Lisa is trying to rejoin her team and is unaware that assassins have already been dispatched to stop her from reaching her destination. No sooner does she think she has escaped, when they are on her trail and out to silence her for good. In a harrowing chase they are seconds from eliminating her when in a superhuman effort, ‘Goose manages to derail the tag team into a mass of twisted metal and shattered glass. But the rescue could be costly as he flies through the air in a crash that resounds for miles. As help rushes to him, he fades in and out in what might be his last ride.

Dulcy is still in residence at a private island, but not as a treasured guest. She learns that she has been checked in but will not be checking out. She vows to escape the historic mansion with her gracious hostess Tess, who is slowly realizing she’s in up to her neck.

David prepares to leave for his assignment at the Springs, but is waylaid by an investigative team scouring his house for evidence of yet another murder. Unfortunately, the nosy spinster neighbors think he really has murdered someone when they stumble on a body in his dining room. When they sneak back to the scene of the crime, they leave enough evidence of their own to put them away for his supposed misdeeds.

Stuck in Park City, David solicits the help of pretty lawyer Stacey King to steal a long-forgotten file buried in the law firm vaults that could uncover the name of all the actual players. No sooner have they prepared dinner when an arresting officer hauls them off to jail. They get released but on the way to Colorado Springs, Stacey is kidnapped while David checks in at the police station.

On the private island, it’s a comedy of errors leaving the household at Dulcy’s mercy. She grabs Tess and flees the compound with Olsen in hot pursuit. As they escape, the house explodes like a fireworks display leaving all to wonder who lived, who died, and what happens next.

On the marina side of the island, Dulcy and Tess are ushered into the arms of the law following the house explosion. They breathe a sigh of relief until the officers unwittingly turn them back over to the conniving Chief Olsen. It’s a Colorado Springs destination for all with Olsen promising a reunion for Dulcy and Laird.

Someone on the inside is leaking facts as fast as a snow melt in April. Each turn they take is literally a dead end. The Colorado Springs stage is set and the sting is ready with all participants taking their cues at a local gentlemen’s club. When Dulcy finally escapes Olsen and surfaces there, she stays hidden in the wings of the strip club till the moment of truth arrives. At the instant of her accidental stage debut, all hell breaks loose, and the true villain is finally, uh, exposed. Follow the trails, snow, and bullet holes, to find the truth that hides in the hills and who’s left standing when it ends.
